In pain...

Bree is in a lot of pain. She tore a muscle in her leg during one of the status epilepticus episodes. So it is hard for her to walk now. She can't really get comfortable. She has been in and out, a result of the confusion after her seizures and from the pain killers they gave her. It doesn't really look promising for her to be released tomorrow. She isn't eating very much either. They are feeding her through the IVs though, giving her some type of high calorie white stuff that the nurses refer to as a "milkshake". The liver function tests are still not good but it will take awhile for it to return to normal. Maybe she would be better off if we pulled all seizure meds and let her go ahead and have the brain surgery. but that's not what she wants. She doesn't want brain surgery. And she deserves to have a say in it, it is her life. And I'm really not sure if she could be medicine free, anyway. As much as I like the doctors and staff here, maybe I should look at other hospitals and other solutions. No matter how far we have to travel, there has to a better way...
