Quiet

All is quiet. Allie has left for school. Lindsey has started a new school like program for autistic kids where she will be getting life skills. It will keep her out of the house for the morning hours. She has a driver, so that will save me time too. (Lindsey has asperger's). Bree is still sleeping. I woke her up long enough to give her a pill (Dilantin, for all the good it's doing) as is our routine every morning. Yesterday morning she had a seizure as she was getting up, fell and bruised up her arm. Thank goodness for these ultra sensitive baby monitors, I have a base unit in just about every room in the house. (She will NOT let me put one in her bathroom and we compromised there, when she showers I will sit outside the room) I heard her go down and ran up to check on her. Bree is finally getting used to the fact that she can't be alone, and that we have to use these monitors so that she can at least stay in a room alone. Yesterday while a pot of soup was simmering for her lunch, she discovered she can talk to me in her normal tone and I can hear her, and she kept saying "Mom, I'm hungry. Mom, I'm hungry!" over and over. Too cute! But from the girl who doesn't eat much, and sometimes refuses to eat, it's music to this mom's ears. She had 4 seizures over night. I just wish the meds would help her.
