Tomorrow. At least that's the plan as of now! She did really good eating yesterday. At least she did last night. This hospital has a domino's pizza (healthy, huh? but great for picky kids and visitors) and I went and got her a slice. (The slices are large). She ate that. They switched the way she takes depakote and are giving her the entire 250 mg at bedtime instead of 125 in the morning and 125 at night, thinking she will sleep through the side effects. They'll slowly increase her dose of depakote and also her dose of dilantin. She may have to start taking some depakote in the morning too. I hope not, if it's going to make her so sick. My poor girl. But so far it's almost 11:00 am and she hasn't said anything about nausea. She ate a pretty good breakfast for Bree. It may not seem like much to some people, but for Bree it is. She ate half of her stack of pancakes, most of her box of cereal, and she ate all of the cut up cantaloupe they brought her. She drank her Boost nutritional drink which is very important.
She's holding stuff down, so that's a good sign. She should get to leave tomorrow morning unless she has one of the major seizures. And then I will be living in fear that she will have one once I get her home. I will have to get a baby monitor so that I can hear her no matter which room she is in and which room I'm in. We'll have to make sure that someone can be home with her at all times. And we'll have to make sure she won't get hurt if she falls out of bed during a seizure.
