Well, my girl is getting some of her spunk back. I assigned Bree the chore of scrubbing the kitchen floor yesterday. It's not as bad as it sounds. She just needed to sweep it, mop it, and use a scrub brush on some spots that didn't come up with the mop. To her it IS as bad as it sounds. She informed me that since she didn't make those "uh-ohs" on the floor, she shouldn't have to clean them. I should make it clear she didn't say this with a smart-attitude or defiance or anything, she was being playful, pouting at me and being more like herself. The Bree we haven't seen in awhile. I love to see her like this, it's a sign she is feeling better. Her appetite is also improving now and she seems to be better able to handle food. Her body must be adjusting better to solid foods. Tomorrow we follow up with her primary care physician to see how her liver and kidneys are fairing. As far as seizures, she is still having them and she is having more nightmares here lately. We are keeping her seizure diary and we hope that the new doctors will get her down to just one seizure medicine and see if that will make a difference because mixing so many meds can actually cause more seizures, so I've learned from my research! She had a pretty bad panic attack on Tues night but we are working to help her get over her fear of sudden loud noises.
All of the other kids are doing fine. Lindsey is finally settling back into her routines. We are going to try again to mainstream her into public school. But if it doesn't work out we'll once again home school her and use the tutors. She is doing well with life skills and tutors and socializing with others. She is on the high functioning end of asperger's so we feel she will do very well this time.
