Back to School

It's back to school for Allie... and Lindsey, today. Lindsey is mainstreaming into public school. It is Allie's senior year, but this morning she was just worried about me, how I would do being all alone with Bree today. "What if she has a lot of seizures, or prolonged seizures, or a really bad one? You shouldn't be alone" She is such a sweet, thoughtful, mature girl. Many other teenagers would be eager to get back to school and to have a break and be away from home life and a sister with so many issues, but not Allie. She loves to help out with her sister and be there for her no matter what. But I reassured her that we would be fine and that she needed to go and enjoy the first day of her senior year and help Lindsey out if she needed it. It is almost 11:30 and I haven't heard from the school so Lindsey must be getting along okay.
We are getting along okay here at home, too. Bree misses her sisters and it's one of those days where she is confused. She is having a lot of pain in her abdomen still, so we cancelled PT. She saw the doctor on Tuesday and they did an ultrasound and diagnosed ovarian cysts but are just going to watch them for now. Other then that we are doing okay. She has forgotten where her sisters are a couple of times and asked me "Where are Allie and Lindsey?" And that's really hard, heartbreaking but you just have to be patient and remind her.
Well, time to fix some lunch. Maybe Rick will come home and have lunch with us.
