It was a long day with several visits to the hospital. Not Bree this time. My dad is in the hospital, but he is doing okay. Pretty good actually. He was having trouble breathing and said he couldn't get up so he used his life line to call for help, they called my sister, and my sister called an ambulance. I went to the hospital after she called at 4:00 am, came back home at 7 so I could be here with Bree when Allie and Lindsey went to school and Rick went to work. I was up at 4 anyway since Bree had just had a seizure... woke Bree up at 7:30 so she could have breakfast and get ready for counseling. She only ate a bite or two and seemed to have trouble comprehending things. After her counseling we stopped by the hospital to visit dad. He was alert and talkative. We went back again around 3:30 to take him some more things. So they will give him antibiotics, work to improve his breathing with breathing treatments, and start physical therapy. He will be fine.
Tomorrow Bree has physical therapy so she and I will visit after that. I hope Bree's new med will kick in soon so that her seizures will lessen or better yet stop. I wish they would call and give me her blood test results. So nerve racking. It's also nerve racking to wait until Sept 9th to see if there is any more brain damage caused by the repeated seizures then there was in May. Or if she has possibly had a stroke, because sometimes her confusion and memory problems are so much worse.
I bought her a new magnetic poetry set on the way home from counseling today and she spent hours creating new poems on her magnetic dry erase boards.
