An unhappy girl

Bree is a very upset girl today, because she had to get her H1N1 flu shot. And she had PT after that. She says she is so tired of being poked and stuck. That she is sick of needles and shots. She has had three different shots in just a months time. (Regular flu, pneumonia, and H1n1) She has had countless blood draws. Poor kid. Then this "mean mom" drug her to physical therapy when all she wanted to do is sleep! She does like her new physical therapist but she wasn't really in the mood to get up on the balance board today. Or do her memory exercises or anything else. Her PT was able to draw her out and get her to do things though. Now she is sleeping on the couch and I'm keeping a close watch on her - on the lookout for any seizures or anything, she had 5 over night. I am still worried though - she has slept so much the past few days. She has had more falls then usual the past couple of days too. She fell last night and cut her lip. Not too serious, and maybe she bit it instead of cut it. She gets upset when she falls, or spills something and calls herself stupid. It breaks my heart when she does that and I tell her over and over she is not stupid. That everyone falls down sometimes, everyone spills things sometimes. She is definitely not a stupid girl. I know this type of talk is left over from the abuse from her biological parents. Her mother told her she was stupid and worthless everyday. This poor girl, I don't get how someone can treat their kids so bad.
