Switch again
Spoke to Bree's neurologist again today since she is getting worse instead of better. Guess what? Once again, we are changing meds. Now the neurologist WILL say she has refractory epilepsy. With about a 21% chance of remission. That's down from her 35% chance last week. Since she developed these seizures after a traumatic brain injury she also has post traumatic epilepsy and he told me "That can be the hardest to control" She is going to start Mysoline now and He wants her weaned off of Tegertol. When she has her Vagus Nerve Stimulator surgery, he tells me, he hopes to have her meds switched to Mysoline, Klonopin, Keppra, and Zonegran. Sigh.... here we go again is all I can say. The constant switch of medication is why we switched doctors in the first place.
