Long, long, night

It was such a long night last night. Bree didn't fall asleep until well after 4:30, and she had to be up at 6:00 to get up for a counseling session. She was afraid to go to sleep. She would drift off then wake up on a few minutes later in a panic. I just wish we could help her with these nightmares/night terrors. I know tonight I will be giving her benadryl to help things along. I know, I know I shouldn't do this and especially should not be mixing this with her seizure meds. But combined with the seizure medicine it will make her very sleepy and hopefully she will sleep. (That is the reason you aren't supposed to mix allergy meds with seizure meds.... it will make her very sleepy) But she also is having allergy problems and Rick just mowed the grass yesterday so there is a justified reason to give her allergy meds anyway....
Being a parent and struggling with what's right and wrong is rough sometimes.
She is sad because the Steve Wilkos Show no longer comes on, has been replaced by something called Dr. Ron or something like that. But she is so far doing fine with the Nintendo DS brain age game. No seizures while playing, so that is a good thing.
