It may not look like fall here yet, but it sure feels like it. We woke up to a chilly morning, and Bree is sitting on the couch shivering in her sweatshirt and yoga style pants. Our heat actually came on this morning, too. It is our first really cool morning.
It is exactly two weeks until we have to be in court- the trial for Bree's biological mother. They want Bree to testify and she is terrified. She does not want to see that woman again. We are doing our best to tell her she is so strong, she can do this - she can help put her abuser away. She is afraid that this woman will hurt her again, will "Steal" her away from us.
She seems to be having more problems lately, with her brain injury. She has more problems with speech in that she mixes up her words. We can always figure out what she is saying but sometimes people outside our household don't always understand her so she has pretty much stopped speaking to others she doesn't know well, unless she has to. Poor girl.
Her regular PT was out today, and she worked with a PT that was so good with her, and one she clicked so well with that I asked if she would be Bree's regular PT because things just aren't going good with her current one.
Time to get some lunch now will try to update more later.
