Sorry that it has been a week since I've posted anything. We are doing all right, Georgia did get some major flooding this past week, but we are all safe. It is raining again though and we are under flood watches and warnings. We and our home all survived last week's downpours.
Bree says she isn't feeling well, that her throat hurts. She has had her regular flu shot, but yes I have fears of the swine flu. She was out in the cool rain a lot today though.
We had a great day Tuesday: The rain finally stopped for the day, so after PT I told her "This is your day. You get to pick everything we do" First she chose to eat lunch at a deli style restaurant across the state line in NC. (Due to the problems we have with her eating, and the fact she needs to gain some weight anytime she says she wants to eat I will go just about anywhere for her!) She loves their homemade chicken salad sandwiches. They put apples and cashews in there and put it in pita bread. After that she wanted to go to Peebles which is a department store. (Also in NC.) I got her a new shirt. Then she wanted to go to KMart where she was thrilled to find, of all things - pink tennis balls. She decided then and there she wants to play tennis. So of course I got her a racket. If she shows an interest in something I want to encourage her. We had killed enough time for it to be around 4:30 by now and she said she wanted to go to dairy queen for ice cream on the way home which we did.
The rest of the week hasn't been so good - a lot of nightmares, seizures and the like. The neurologist has added Lyrica to her meds so now she takes two. I hope it helps. More later...
