Yesterday was one of Bree's bad days. She hasn't had a bad day quite like this in awhile now. It started off with a lot of seizures on Saturday night and the seizures continued yesterday morning. She was out of it, mostly sleeping all day yesterday until she finally became alert around 6:30 pm yesterday.
We kept her in her room, in the bed for most of the morning, her sisters and I cuddling with her in her bed and taking care of her, making sure she was warm and comfortable (The temps only got to 30 degrees yesterday) but when it became apparent she wouldn't wake up anytime soon my husband carried her downstairs to be with everyone and where the action was. I feel this is important. Whether she's alert or not alert she needs to be with us. When she finally did come around she was hungry and ate some pizza and a bowl of lucky charms cereal... her latest obsession. She becomes addicted to certain foods for awhile and right now it is lucky charms cereal. She didn't get to spend much time up since it was back to bed at 11 pm.
Today is better. She was up at 8 and smiling and teasing Lil Bee about her having to go out to a doctor's appointment while she, Bree gets to stay in where it's warm. (It was 10 degrees at 8 am!) It is now 10:30 and so far no seizures. Yay! Bree is asking when it will be lunch time. Her speech still isn't normal, she still is struggling, but she is so much better then she was yesterday. She's been writing in her journal and playing around with her magnetic poetry and watching TV and reading so today will be a good day, a GREAT day. She is eagerly waiting for Lil Bee to come back home with the baby to hear how the 1 month doctor's appointment went.
She also has no signs of fever or illness. The fever lasted just one night.
