Bree had a really bad seizure on Saturday night. She hit her nose and it bled awhile. Now she is in so much pain from her repeated seizures. We need to talk to her doctor about pain management. She sees the neurologist Thursday and we decide what to do about the weak blood vessel in her brain. He will adjust the VNS again and adjust her meds again in hopes to cut down on her seizures more. It hurts me that she hurts, and we have to do something. His suggestion that she just take Advil is not working out because it upsets her stomach now. It makes her stomach hurt and I fear it can cause internal bleeding. We try heating pads, massages, warm baths, all only work for a short time.
But still this amazing girl goes on, wanting to help me around the house. Even when she hurts so much she can't even move she wants to keep going and not give up. She wants to be more independent. She feels left out when she sees her sisters do these "extreme" things that she can't, like snowboarding or skateboarding. So we need to find things she can do with them that she can have fun doing.
