Change in Meds

I send reports from Bree's apnea and seizure monitors to her neurologist using the phone lines (much like a fax machine) weekly, and after I sent it yesterday the nurse called me back. He wants to change one of her medicines. He wants to add Lamitcal. She just started it this morning, so it's way too soon to know if it will work. She has to take it 2 times a day. He wants to try this now rather then waiting for her next appointment on June 15th. She is no longer taking Keppra. The Lamitcal is in place of Keppra, her klonopin is increased, Depakote is staying the same for now. I hope this works for her. She really needs a break from all her seizures, I just want my girl to get well and have a normal life. While I enjoy having a very agreeable teenage daughter who never argues with me, and who is very, very well behaved I would like to see her enjoy things she should be enjoying. Although with the degree of damage that has been done to her brain she might not be what others consider "normal" what is normal anyway? She can read. She can write, and her poetry is beautiful. Once upon a time she made the A honor roll, and I believe if her IQ was tested it still would be very high. She is a beautiful sweet girl who has a lot to offer this world.
