I'm happy to say we are safe from Hurricane Irene. We had beautiful weather in fact. A little breezy, but clear and warm. My family in NC is also safe- they do not live on the coast. My nephew in Gainesville, Virgina is also okay. They also felt that 5.8 earthquake earlier in the week. A few minutes ago we heard from our friend in Vermont. Vermont is having major flooding, but she is okay. She doesn't live near any rivers or streams so thankfully she will be safe. I can sleep well knowing our loved ones are all safe and accounted for, but prayers go out to all of those being affected now by the hurricane/tropical storm. Had it taken a different path, we could have been affect also, just like with hurricanes Francis and Ivan a few years ago.
Bree had to have a procedure a week ago to implant a pacemaker in her heart. It was just beating way too slow. Hopefully, no more setbacks now. Still seizure free and her kidneys remain infection free for about 4 weeks now. We didn't get good results from her blood work so it's back to interferon injections for now. Hopefully this will work and we won't have to go the chemo route...
