I can't believe it's been 9 months since I've updated. So much has changed in 9 months. I'm sorry for my silence. Things have been crazy. Bree is still receiving the interferon treatments. In December, she had brain surgery for her seizures because they were still not under control and we were losing her more and more each day.
5 months later - she has been seizure free for 3 months. She is still undergoing PT, Speech therapy, and occupational therapy to recover what she has lost. She has some memory and speech problems. She also has some balance issues. Although she may never be what most people consider a "Normal" girl - she is doing so much better. She has a better quality if life now. We return to Augusta next week to see the neuro and the hematologist. She must undergo a bone marrow biopsy once again, and we'll find out if further interferon is necessary. She's our miracle girl. I'll try not to go 9 months this time before an update.
