Wild Week

This has been a crazy week for me. I am learning that perhaps when I take Bree out for errands that I should bring someone along. Tuesday was a bad day. It didn't start out that way because when we got to speech therapy, she had a different speech therapist then usual. She clicked with this one and really enjoyed her session with him. But afterwards while in the car out on our errands she had a seizure... we are used to this it happens, but she was so confused afterwards. We stopped to visit my husband at his work and when we got ready to leave the car battery was dead. Seems like when one bad thing happens everything starts too, right? We managed to find someone to jump us off and I drove to the autoparts store to buy a new battery. The auto parts store happens to be located in front of a very busy highway. Right across from a Taco Bell, Bree's favorite resturant. Bree never gets too far away from me so I figured she'd stay close by but she tried to wander out in the street, saying "There's Taco Bell!" Thankfully I was able to grab her. Poor girl she was so confused from her seizure that she tried to wander right out into traffic. That is exactly why you can't leave someone who has had a seizure unattended. Then yesterday, another daughter, Lindsey who has started to be rebellious was horribly mean to Bree. I gave Bree some scissors to use to cut some pictures from a magazine and she took those away from her, then she took Bree's magnetic poetry away from her. I was just able to keep Bree occupied so I could get some stuff done and Lindsey had to come in and torment her and ruin it all. Not sure what to do about Linds at this point. Today is a gorgeous day, very warm and Allie and I have been outside with Bree. Lindsey has gone off with my older daughter Alyssa hiking so hopefully she will come back tired and out of whatever caused her bad mood. My husband Rick says he has a huge surprise for Bree. I have an idea what it is and not sure I'm going to like this. The last time it was a huge surprise for Allie we got a new puppy. Bree wants a new puppy, she wants a beagle. We have two labs, a boxer, a dachshund, and Allie's little mixed breed. We don't need another dog but then maybe her very own would be good for Bree.
