Well we survived our crazy winter storm. I can't say it's really over yet because we still have snow on the ground. We lost power at 9:00 pm Friday night and didn't get it back until 3:30 Saturday afternoon. I'm telling you it got so cold in the house. We didn't have any back up heat, didn't have any water. We all slept together in one room snuggled up on air mattresses and blankets. We lost all the food in our freezer and a lot of stuff in our fridge as well. Then we lost power again on Sunday at 11:00 am until 4:15 pm. I worried a lot about Bree. The other two girls can run and jump around to warm up, she can not. I also worried about lil Bee's baby Bryley. But we just bundled Bree up in several layers, had her roll up in blankets, and snuggled with her. lil Bee tucked Bryley inside her shirt and wrapped up in blankets keeping her warm with her own skin. We did get cold as it got down to 48 in the house, but not as cold as we could have.
Bree is doing pretty good, all things considered. She works as hard as she can in therapy - we are working with her since we are still stranded, she gets into mischief! and she tries hard to remember words that she has forgotten. Her seizures are decreasing thankfully. We hope and pray she continues to make progress. I know she will!
