Bree's cardiologist visit went well. He talked to HER, not just me. Which is how it should be. He asked Bree how she felt, what her symptoms were, what kind of things she liked to do, etc, etc. He was very gentle with her. She had an EKG this morning, and it all looked good. They also worked her in for an echocardiogram. We don't have the results of that yet, but the doc promised me if it showed anything serious he would call me. He said he didn't expect to find anything seriously wrong though. He thinks she has a leaky mitral valve, which she can live just fine with. The heart murmur wasn't very loud. He did prescribe something she can take when her heart is racing though. He also says she can take it when she is feeling really anxious and it would help her remain calm.
Tomorrow we leave for Augusta. Bree planned our dinner for tonight. We are having rotisserie chicken, fresh corn on the cob from our garden, sweet potatoes, and steamed broccoli and carrots. She's an awesome meal planner. Oh, and apple pie for dessert! I will update tomorrow after her PICC line placement.
